KPI´S: THE PERFECT TOOL FOR YOUR COMPANY

A KPI can be defined as a key performance indicator, it is the perfect tool to measure actions and productivity in each business. Through KPI’s, you can measure success and the results on the objectives goals set.

The selection of the KPI’s that are suitable for an organization will depend on the industry to which it belongs and what areas or departments you want to measure, keep in mind that each area will use a different KPI. Once you’ve chosen the correct KPI’s, you’ll want to track these indicators with a real-time reporting tool. The monitoring and measurement can be done by automated software or under manual supervision.

How to create KPI´s?

You must first perform an analysis, establishing a method and a series of steps to identify the correct KPIs to measure the performance of each area or company. We recommend starting as follows:

  • Identify the department or area to be measured.
  • Define the logistic and methodological process to perform the measurement.
  • Define the objective.
  • Collect correct information.
  • Update the indicator.

If the KPI is misaligned with the general and specific objectives of the department, the best option is to discard it.
